Industrial CIR Torc Necklace

Captive Inverted Round - chainmaille necklace. This piece floats about the neck rather than drapes. Some say it fits like a torc would - only not as tight. Other friends have described it simply as "well if I had to describe it, I'd say it wears like a necklace bomb would, I mean if I had any clue what a necklace bomb felt like. Oh hell you know what I mean."

Inner rings are held in place merely by physics. There's no chain, wire, cord or anything holding the inner rings in place, excepting of course the outer cage rings. The outer cage is bright aluminum while the inner captive rings are square profile stainless steel.

A lightweight frame held rigid by a strong steel core. A strong, masculine piece, yet not entirely suited for only a male. Every ring is woven one at a time by me. Unlike most of my pieces which are made using rings I coil & cut myself, this was made entirely w/machine cut rings purchased from TheRingLord.com. The piece has minimal flex - it won't hold its circular shape without the clasp to hold it in its round nature.

I have made two of these so far - my next will likely feature both machine and saw cut rings as it is my goal to produce a slightly different appearance but a similar style.

I may consider offers for purchase - however, serious offers only, and you must understand the nature of the piece, it may look beefy but the way it is constructed it can be rather delicate. Pulling, tugging, or any rough handling may cause it to become unstable. One must treat this as you would your finest piece of gold. Light yet strong it is not invincible.
